Job summary

McGraw Hill seeks a Manager of Strategic Sourcing to join the Global Procurement team. The role drives enterprise services sourcing, partnering with Technology, HR, Finance and Legal to translate demand into disciplined contracting outcomes.

This remote-from-home-office position travels 3–4 times per year and leads category strategies, negotiations, supplier relationships, and governance to deliver measurable savings and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or certification preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or related roles.
• Experience sourcing professional services and/or contingent labor agreements.
• Strong commercial judgment balancing cost, quality and flexibility.
• Ability to partner with Corporate, Technology, HR, Finance and Legal.
• Strong analytical capability including rate benchmarking and cost modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own corporate services category strategies aligned to objectives.
• Lead sourcing events and contract negotiations with Legal.
• Partner with Marketing, HR, Facilities, Operations to align on requirements.
• Interpret financial analyses to drive sourcing decisions and savings tracking.
• Ensure procurement governance and risk compliance across activities.
• Coach Analysts and contribute to capability building and process improvements.
