Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead category development, supplier engagement, and sourcing execution across U.S. teams. You will drive RFx processes, ensure cost savings, and oversee supplier performance while coordinating with Legal, InfoSec, and governance functions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Procurement/Sourcing experience, including 6+ years in sourcing software and tech services.
• BA/BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• Experience with eSourcing and spend analytics tools (Coupa, SAP Ariba, Ivalua, or similar) plus Excel/Google.
• Familiarity with AI-powered procurement tools is a plus.
• Proficiency with governing and engagement documents for services and tech.
• Extensive negotiation and contract management experience.
• Strong customer service focus, communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Category management plan development and execution experience.
• Ability to lead complex sourcing events (RFP, RFI, RFQ).
• Results-oriented with track record of delivering value for partners.
• Ability to lead complex initiatives with cross-functional partners and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category management plans and sourcing strategies for cost savings and performance targets.
• Lead cross-functional teams to define requirements and execute supplier initiatives that create value and reduce risk.
• Develop analytical reports on savings, metrics, and KPIs to monitor progress.
• Provide visibility into supplier spend and performance.
• Support RFx efforts by leading project teams through supplier selection.
• Collaborate with Legal, Information Security, and Third-Party Governance through source-to-pay processes.
• Manage strategic procurement engagement with one or more business units.
