Job summary

Avar Consulting is seeking a Senior Statistician to join its Federal government-focused team, working on education, labor, veteran’s affairs, and other programs. You will evaluate research products against statistical standards and policies, and contribute to high-stakes evaluations using R, Python, STATA, and SAS.

Strong experience with labor and program evaluation, plus advanced degree in a quantitative field, are required; US citizenship or permanent residency is needed for contract

Qualifications

• Experience conducting empirical social science research.
• Ability to review research products for statistical standards.
• Familiarity with federal government evaluation projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical quality reviews of research and evaluation products.
• Assess alignment with established statistical standards, guidelines and policies.
• Support multiple federal government projects across agencies and programs.
