Impiricus in the United States is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, own month-end close, account reconciliations, and journal entries with minimal supervision. You will support audits and drive improvements in accounting processes.

Responsibilities include payroll accounting, intercompany transactions, and vendor/payable oversight, with opportunities to influence budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience including month-end close.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and accounting controls.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close processes and ownership of journal entries.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and close activities.
• Support audits, tax filings, and internal controls testing.
• Manage payroll accounting, intercompany, payables/receivables.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Mentor junior staff and drive process improvements.
