Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to build secure cloud foundations for FedRAMP High and IL5. This role focuses on AWS GovCloud foundations, account provisioning automation, and cloud governance patterns.

You will design reusable infrastructure modules, guardrails, and compliance-oriented automation, while mentoring engineers and aligning with secure cloud adoption practices. Remote, PST-hours preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SRE, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, or infra software.
• Hands-on AWS multi-account environments, AWS Organizations, IAM, Terraform, and cloud governance experience.
• Experience building automation in Python, Go, Ruby, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate AWS GovCloud foundations for FedRAMP High and IL5, including accounts provisioning and automation.
• Implement and maintain service control policies, landing-zone patterns, and cloud governance automation.
• Develop reusable IaC modules and paved-road patterns for secure deployments.
• Support standardized cloud resource creation and management, including VPC patterns, IAM, and account-level controls.
• Create and adapt cloud foundations services for federal use, including FinOps reporting and compliance automation.
• Collaborate with teams to translate FedRAMP IL5 requirements into practical cloud architectures and operating models.
