Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to build secure cloud foundations for FedRAMP High and IL5. You will own large features and mentor engineers migrating to compliant cloud adoption.

Role emphasizes multi-account AWS GovCloud management, automation, and governance. Remote work with PST hours preferred; strong collaboration with security and compliance teams is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SRE, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure software.
• Hands-on with AWS multi-account environments, IAM, Terraform, and cloud governance.
• Experience building automation in Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with AWS GovCloud, Control Tower, Landing Zone patterns, and FedRAMP/IL5 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate AWS GovCloud foundations for FedRAMP High and IL5, including AWS Organizations and account provisioning workflows.
• Implement service control policies, landing-zone patterns, and cloud governance automation.
• Create reusable infrastructure-as-code modules and paved-road patterns for secure deployments.
• Support standardized cloud resource creation and management, including VPC patterns and IAM controls.
• Develop and maintain cloud foundations services for federal use, including FinOps reporting and compliance automation.
• Partner with teams to translate FedRAMP High and IL5 requirements into practical cloud architectures.
• Participate in incident response, cost anomaly detection, and production support workflows.
• Produce documentation, runbooks, and evidence-friendly operational records.
