Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for the SRE Cloud Foundations team. You will own large features and foundation systems, design AWS GovCloud foundations, and automate account provisioning with Terraform across GovCloud and FedRAMP-aligned controls.

You’ll mentor engineers, partner with teams, and contribute to FinOps, security, and compliance efforts while delivering scalable, auditable cloud infrastructure in a remote role aligned to PST hours.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SRE, cloud infra, or DevOps.
• Hands-on with AWS multi-account environments and IAM.
• Experience automating with Python, Go, or Ruby.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP High/IL5 or regulated environments.
• Strong communication and ability to mentor engineers.
• Ability to translate requirements into compliant cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate AWS GovCloud foundations for FedRAMP High and IL5.
• Implement and maintain service control policies and guardrails.
• Create reusable infrastructure-as-code modules and patterns.
• Support standardized cloud resource creation including VPC patterns and IAM controls.
• Collaborate with teams to translate FedRAMP requirements into architecture.
• Provide documentation and runbooks.
• Participate in responder duties and production support.
