Climavision, a Louisville-based climate technology company, seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own production reliability across Azure, colocation, and edge Kubernetes environments. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years in Site Reliability Engineering or related roles; at least 4 years in a role titled Site Reliability Engineer or with explicit SLO/accountability.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience; native or self-managed Kubernetes preferred.
• Experience optimizing Kubernetes clusters, right-sizing workloads and node pools, and reducing infrastructure cost.
• Experience building dashboards, metrics pipelines, and alerting.
• Experience designing multi-cluster high-availability architectures and cross-cluster deployments.
• Experience supporting on-call rotations and incident response.
• Strong troubleshooting across infrastructure, application, and platform layers.

Responsibilities

• Own production reliability for Climavision's customer-facing platform and data services across Azure, colocation, and edge Kubernetes environments.
• Work on a shared SRE function across the radar network and weather intelligence teams.
• Define and improve SLIs, SLOs, alerting standards, and operational metrics.
• Build and own the observability layer and dashboards; surface data for proactive alerting.
• Design automated recovery and self-healing for production systems.
• Optimize cluster resources and costs; migrate workloads off Azure to reduce spend.
• Coordinate production incident response, including troubleshooting and postmortem analysis.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues across apps, platform and Kubernetes.
• Drive multi-replica and multi-cluster high availability across services.
• Contribute to enterprise HA strategy across hybrid fleet with failover and graceful degradation.
• Operate and improve the observability platform (metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, alerts).
• Contribute as senior technical resource and mentor on reliability practices.
