Underdog is seeking a Sports Modeler to lead the quantitative engine behind prediction markets. You will own models from research to production monitoring, collaborating with Trading and Engineering.

Use Bayesian methods to synthesize data, sportsbook prices, and trader observations into fair value estimates. You will work hands-on with AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining rigor, clarity, and code quality.

Formación

• At least 5 years in sports modeling, quantitative research, or related field.
• Proven track record building simulation-based models with calibrated probabilities.
• Strong knowledge of probability, statistics, Bayesian inference, and model validation.
• Understanding of sportsbook and exchange market dynamics; ability to combine market info with model estimates.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and validate simulation-based predictive and pricing models across sports and time horizons.
• Translate sport mechanics and data into full outcome distributions and market probabilities.
• Own model lifecycle from framing to deployment and monitoring.
• Apply Bayesian inference to update priors as new information arrives.
