Job summary

Saragossa is seeking a Junior quantitative Trader to help build models and strategies that drive trading performance. You will identify edges, help build predictive models, automate processes, and see your work impact live markets in real time.

You’ll work with large datasets, develop trading strategies, and collaborate with traders and developers to continually improve performance. Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL is required, with an emphasis on statistics, curiosity, and problem solving.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience in quantitative research, trading, data science, or analytics.
• Experience in sports, betting, prediction markets, trading, or market data is a plus.
• Proficient in Python, R, and SQL.

This isn't a role where you'll spend months researching in isolation. You'll be identifying edges, helping to build predictive models, automating processes, and seeing your work impact live markets in real time.

You'll work with large datasets, help develop trading strategies, and collaborate with traders and developers to continuously improve performance.

Python, R, and SQL will be your tools. Statistics, curiosity, and problem-solving will be your edge.

They are looking for a junior person between 1 and 4 years of expeirence, but you will need to of worked in quantitative research, trading, data science, or another highly analytical environment. Experience in sports, betting, prediction markets, trading, or market data is a plus, but not essential.

You can expect a base salary up to $150k + bonus.

This role will be based in Chicago.
