Job summary

SHI is seeking a Sr. Solutions Consultant - SDDC to lead post‑sales data center automation initiatives and private cloud adoption. You will design, deploy, and upgrade enterprise infrastructure, mentor teams, and drive successful outcomes across customers.

The role is remote with a home office setup per SHI requirements, requiring deep VMware and virtualization expertise and hands-on engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in CS, Engineering or related field or relevant work experience.
• 5+ years in solutions architecture or infrastructure with virtualization and storage.
• 5+ years with VMware and associated product range in enterprise environments.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform low-level design and implementation, including architecture analysis and system migrations.
• Lead design and implementation of VMware VCF, Aria Automation, Private AI Foundation.
• Execute automation using Ansible, Terraform, SaltStack; code with PowerShell and PowerCLI; JavaScript as needed.
• Manage server virtualization, vSAN, storage fabrics, NSX, and virtual networking.
• Mentor and guide other consultants and engineers on projects.
• Engage in pre‑sales discussions, design planning, and service engagements.
