Job summary

Sargent & Lundy’s Consulting group seeks a senior performance engineer to lead solar PV energy yield assessments for utility-scale projects. You will model production, analyze climatic data, and support energy storage projects with PVsyst and Excel-based tools.

Role focuses on utility-scale solar assessment with opportunities across CSP, wind, and other technologies, collaborating with developers, utilities, and financiers. Remote-friendly within the United States.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a science discipline and a comprehensive understanding of solar resource assessment and energy yield prediction methodology.
3+ years of experience in the energy industry with solar project design experience or renewable energy consulting.
Experience with statistical data analysis and data analytics.
Familiarity with renewable energy project execution and finance.

Responsibilities

Perform solar resource assessments using satellite-based and ground-based data.
Analyze operational production and climatic data from solar projects.
Model, design review, and optimize solar, wind and battery energy storage projects.
