Job summary

Bloomerang is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Technical Lead) to own the team's technical outcomes and shape AI-driven software for nonprofits. You will mentor engineers, define technical direction, and partner with Product, QA, and Engineering to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions on a modern stack (TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL) across projects.

You’ll lead with a strong ownership mindset, balance delivery with long-term health, and leverage AI tooling to increase

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineer with production software experience.
• Strong TS/JS across the stack (Node.js/Express and React).
• Relational data modeling and PostgreSQL; REST API design.
• Experience modernizing legacy systems incrementally.
• Ability to build and operate integrations and data sync.
• Architectural decisions balancing scale, reliability, and delivery.

Responsibilities
