Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a software engineer to design and build best-in-class solutions within the Technology team. You will contribute to API development, event-driven services, and cloud-native deployments that support inventory movement, orders, and warehouse operations.

You will collaborate with teams to deliver secure, scalable software; experience with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, REST, Kafka, Docker/Kubernetes, Azure, and CI/CD is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent level preferred.
• Over 3 to 6 years of experience.
• Basic experience coordinating the work of others (4–6 months).

Responsibilities

• Drive development of existing software and contribute to new software by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
• Develop software that is fast, secure and reliable to meet defined requirements.
• Monitor, identify, and correct more complex software defects to maintain functioning software.
• Produce multiple concepts and prototypes to design digital products/services.
• Recommend ways to optimize solutions to meet performance and quality needs.
• Drive maintenance road map to facilitate development and align with business requirements.
