Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Merchandising Services team. You will contribute to software design, development, and lifecycle in a collaborative, product-focused environment supporting modern OO languages and on-prem and cloud deployments across the US.

You’ll work with RPG/RPGLE, SQL, .NET/C#, Java, and tools like ControlM and JDA MMS/AAL while embracing Agile and waterfall methodologies to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 3–6 years of experience in relevant IT roles in retail/merchandising domains.
• Experience with RPG/RPGLE, SQL, .NET/C#, Java is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Software Development: drive development of existing software and contribute to new software.
• Software Maintenance: monitor and fix defects to maintain quality.
• Design and Conceptualization: create concepts and prototypes for digital products.
• Engineering practices: participate in performance tuning, testing, and production monitoring.
• Roadmap support: align development with business requirements and timelines.
