Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead IPaC platform updates and API integration for a federal data migration program. You will design and implement integration between the IPaC web app and cloud data infrastructure to enable seamless species data flow into existing consultation workflows.

The role emphasizes federal compliance, REST API design, and delivering application-layer components for government demonstrations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of professional experience, or higher degree with equivalent experience.
US citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
Experience designing and implementing REST API integrations between federal apps and cloud data platforms.
Proficiency in Java or Python and Git version control.
Knowledge of federal software development standards and FedRAMP deployment.
Familiarity with Section 508/WCAG accessibility in federal apps.
Understanding federal IT governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

Lead IPaC website architecture updates and API integration efforts.
Design and implement REST API integrations with cloud data platform.
Develop new species display functionality including habitat designations and status.
Contribute to government demonstrations and demo environment maintenance.
Support interoperability testing and resolve defects.
Document procedures for maintenance and incident response.
