Job summary

Peraton seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead IPaC platform architecture updates and API integration for a federal data-migration program. This role is remote and focused on delivering a unified ESA data workflow across agencies.

You will design REST API integrations between the platform and cloud data infrastructure, implement new species data displays, and support testing, deployments, and operational playbooks for government demonstrations.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Experience designing REST API integrations between federal apps and cloud data platforms.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or equivalent backend languages.
• Experience with Git or equivalent version control for federal deployments.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP and federal IT governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead application architecture updates to support new species data integration.
• Design and implement API integration between the application and the cloud data platform.
• Implement new species display functionality within the platform.
• Develop programmatic consultation logic alignment updates.
• Support the establishment and maintenance of the demo environment for government demonstrations.
• Support interoperability testing by resolving defects identified during testing.
• Contribute to the IPaC UI and Logic Update Package deliveries.
• Support delivery of Updated DKeys and Consultation Package Builder Assets.
• Execute production cutover deployment activities.
• Document maintenance procedures and incident response protocols.
