MongoDB is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Atlas Clusters Organization. You will design, build, and operate distributed backend systems across AWS, Azure, and GCP, with a focus on Encryption at Rest and key management.

This role supports a remote US-based candidate in Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones and collaborates with product, design, and support teams. You will mentor teammates, participate in on-call rotations, and lead production improvements across the security and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building large-scale distributed backend systems in a compiled language (Java, Go).
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Led the launch of a new feature and maintained it in production.

Responsibilities

• Build and design new features for MongoDB Atlas.
• Contribute to and lead complex technical projects.
• Work with product and design teams to balance user needs with technical solutions.
• Collaborate with customers and support engineers to fix issues.
• Work with team members to evolve codebase, practices, and design principles.
• Mentor other team members.
• Join an on-call rotation to support Atlas production services.
