Job summary

Bitwarden is seeking a Senior II Software Engineer for the Auth team to develop and maintain core authentication across web, desktop, browser, CLI, and mobile apps. You will work with the shared Rust core, Angular clients, and IdentityServer/back-end, securing password, SSO, and passkey flows.

We value strong Rust and Angular skills, plus excellent communication and technical writing abilities. This all-remote role is US-based and visa sponsorship is not offered at this time.

Qualifications

• Experience developing in Angular/.NET stack.
• Familiarity with integrating Rust into other clients via WASM/UNIFFI.
• Understanding of modern web authentication concepts (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, WebAuthn).
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Attention to secure development practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain authentication code across Rust core, Angular clients, and IdentityServer back-end.
• Scope and refine upcoming initiatives with cross-team collaboration.
• Provide timely, thorough code reviews and constructive feedback.
• Triage, diagnose, and resolve bugs reported by users and community.
• Update and validate core dependencies to ensure security and stability.
