Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Sr. Security Engineer to strengthen security across the Java-based platform and AWS infrastructure for a leader in IT.

This remote role supports development teams and executive stakeholders, improving monitoring, incident readiness, and compliance posture. Responsibilities include remediating vulnerabilities, enforcing IAM policies, reviewing AI-assisted pipelines, and shaping secure development standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on security engineering experience in apps, cloud, or infra.
• Strong AWS security experience, IAM and VPC networking.
• Experience securing large production codebases, JVM preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
• Excellent prioritization and stakeholder communication.
• Security certifications such as CISSP or OSCP are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities in Java and AWS.
• Improve infrastructure security focused on IAM policies and network controls.
• Review AI-assisted development pipelines and tools security.
• Develop and maintain secure development standards.
• Assist in risk assessments and compliance initiatives.
• Enhance security monitoring and incident readiness.
• Communicate security priorities to technical and executive stakeholders.
