Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Lead Security Architect to shape the security blueprint across enterprise systems. You will lead threat modeling, assess security risks, and drive secure design in collaboration with EIP and business leaders.

You will guide vulnerability testing, security assessments, and product security reviews while developing innovative testing and mitigation strategies for evolving risks. This role aligns with a segment of the business to proactively address security issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems management, computer science, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience with at least 5 years in security architecture.
• Experience leading threat modeling and application security assessments.
• Experience integrating security controls into modern SDLC and DevSecOps.
• Experience conducting architecture and design reviews for enterprise apps.
• Experience remediating vulnerabilities and advising engineering teams on secure design.
• Experience securing APIs, web apps, and cloud workloads.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud environments.
• Proven ability to communicate security risks to technical and business stakeholders.
• Passion for improving consumer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform application security assessments and threat modeling within a modern SDLC.
• Determine security architecture requirements from business strategies.
• Advise on solutions addressing security risks and gaps.
• Apply independent judgment to complex security decisions.
• Serve as primary contact with business segment stakeholders.
• Communicate secure development principles to relevant teams.
• Improve security designs to reduce post‑development vulnerabilities.
• Influence stakeholders to fix security deficiencies in design and code.
• Provide security solutions that balance risk with necessary functionality.
• Automate and standardize security processes across teams.
