Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking a Lead Security Architect to design enterprise security architecture aligned with business priorities and to guide secure technology design across Humana's systems and services.

You will lead security assessments, vulnerability analyses, and product security reviews, partnering with EIP and business leaders to mitigate emerging threats and strengthen Humana's security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Technology, Information System Management, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience with at least 5 years in security architecture.
• Experience conducting threat modeling and application security assessments.
• Experience integrating security controls into SDLC and DevSecOps environments.
• Experience conducting architecture and design reviews for enterprise applications.
• Experience remediating security vulnerabilities and advising engineering teams on secure design.
• Experience securing APIs, web applications, and cloud-based workloads.
• Experience working in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience communicating security risks and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience implementing enterprise security technologies with organization-wide impact.
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform application security assessments and threat models.
• Evaluate security architecture requirements based on business strategies.
• Propose solutions or strategies addressing security risks or gaps.
• Use independent judgment to determine the best course of action.
• Serve as a single point of contact and build relationships with business units.
• Communicate secure development principles to stakeholders.
• Improve security designs to reduce post-development vulnerabilities.
• Influence stakeholders to fix security deficiencies in design and code.
• Provide solutions that balance security with necessary business functionality.
• Automate and standardize applicable security processes.
