Job summary

Intertwine Associates LLC seeks a Senior Scientist/Engineer to support ARPA-H programs across organ preservation, transplantation, and tissue engineering. You will collaborate with program managers and teams to advance bold research initiatives and manage R&D funding and proposals.

The role requires deep expertise in transplantation and regenerative medicine, and the ability to translate science to clinical/workflow realities while coordinating with federal regulators and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in physiology, systems biology, bioengineering, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, or related field or MD with transplantation experience.
• Subject-matter expertise in organ preservation, ex vivo perfusion, transplant biology, regenerative medicine, translational bioengineering.
• Ability to critically evaluate technical data, experimental plans, and development pathways.
• Experience translating between basic science, engineering development, and clinical realities.
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required per contract.
• Active federal Public Trust or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support ARPA-H program management, funding, and new or existing R&D programs.
• Provide direct technical support to R&D performer teams, Government Program Managers, and stakeholders.
• Assess technologies for translational feasibility, manufacturability, quality systems, and regulatory considerations.
