Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Routing Specialist to support our Chicago, IL office. This remote/teleworker role requires deep expertise in WAN routing, data center interconnect, and automation to guide design and deployments.

As a leading networking architect, you will design scalable architectures, provide customer-facing leadership, and collaborate across sales, engineering, and product teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in networking architecture, systems engineering, or related technical roles.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical discussions and influence architectural decisions.
Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional, customer‑facing environment.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert for HPE Networking routing and infrastructure solutions.
Design and validate scalable WAN, enterprise edge, and data center interconnect architectures.
Provide technical leadership during customer briefings, workshops, POCs, and strategic design discussions.
Develop reference architectures, solution designs, deployment guidance, and networking best practices.
Partner with account teams to understand customer requirements and align technical solutions with business outcomes.
Support partner and field enablement through technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and training.
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Professional Services, and Sales to influence product direction.
