Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Analyst on the Risk Analytics team within the Consumer & Business group. You will own identification and mitigation of account takeover and scam risk, define risk metrics, and build dashboards with cross-functional partners to stay ahead of threats.

You’ll synthesize findings into narratives guiding senior risk and product leadership decisions and investigate fraud by reviewing alerts on anomalous customer and transaction behavior.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on risk experience in e-commerce or financial services.
• 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis using SQL and Python.
• Proficiency with BI tools to build dashboards and reporting frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end risk controls for ATO and scam prevention and scale as the business expands.
• Define risk success metrics, build reporting frameworks, and drive improvements.
• Use data to assess risk and influence decisions affecting large customer segments.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science on risk strategies.
• Translate data findings into narratives for senior risk and product leadership.
• Investigate fraudulent and scam activity by reviewing alerts on anomalies.
