Coinbase is seeking a Senior Analyst on the Risk Analytics team within the Consumer & Business group to own ATO and scam risk across the ecosystem. You’ll build defenses and use data to drive risk decisions that affect millions of customers.

In this high-impact role you’ll define risk metrics, shape prevention strategies, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to stay ahead of evolving threats.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on risk experience in e-commerce or financial services, with at least 2 years focused on combating ATO and scams in a Fraud, Trust and Safety, or Account Security function.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis using SQL and Python with large-scale databases.
• Proficiency with BI and data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Superset) to build dashboards and reporting frameworks.
• Ability to independently scope and deliver analytics projects while collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, and Engineering.
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics and fraud trends in cryptocurrency ecosystems.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost and quality.

• Synthesize data findings into clear narratives and recommendations that influence senior risk and product leadership decisions.
• Investigate and mitigate fraudulent and scam activities by reviewing alerts on anomalous customer and transaction behavior.

Requirements

• Proficiency with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Superset) to build dashboards and reporting frameworks.
• Proven ability to independently scope and deliver analytics projects while collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams.
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics and fraud trends within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Compensation

Base salary varies by location. Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus): $167,280 - $196,800 USD. Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).
