Job summary

US Foods seeks a Senior Refrigeration Systems Engineer to design, optimize, and manage complex refrigeration and facility systems across multiple locations. You will drive reliability and lifecycle management while coordinating with cross‑functional teams to standardize practices and implement new technologies.

Responsibilities include leading system upgrades, capital projects, and energy‑efficiency initiatives, with substantial travel to distribution centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with industrial refrigeration systems and preventive maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, optimization and lifecycle management of facility systems.
• Provide advanced technical support for refrigeration, automation, and electrical systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvements and initiatives.
• Monitor performance, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop standards, documentation, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Support capital projects from concept through startup and commissioning.
• Evaluate new technologies and energy reduction opportunities.
• Travel as needed to multiple sites within the region.
