Job summary

CTG is seeking a Database Administrator IV for a remote contract role. The position focuses on expert RDBMS architecture, design, and guidance for complex projects, leveraging MS SQL and Azure Database platforms.

You will lead enhancements, production support, and performance optimization while collaborating with owners, technology teams, and vendors. The ideal candidate possesses an associate degree with 8+ years of RDBMS experience, strong MS SQL skills, and experience with Ansible/ Terraform.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with 8+ years of RDBMS experience.
• Strong MS SQL/RDBMS experience and Azure DB platforms.
• Experience with Ansible and/or Terraform.
• Experience leading complex database projects and production support.
• Analytical, problem-solving, project management, and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert RDBMS architecture, solution design, and technical guidance for complex projects.
• Analyze requirements and recommend database solutions, enhancements, and technologies.
• Lead database enhancements, testing, production support, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Partner with application owners, technology teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Support performance optimization, compliance, risk, and business continuity initiatives.
• Serve as an RDBMS SME and mentor less experienced staff.
