Job summary

Procore Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior QA Engineer for the Aerial Capture team to own quality across drone software and hardware integrations.

You will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and field QA to define test programs and lead acceptance testing of high‑risk workflows, including AI‑driven testing. This remote role requires travel to customer sites 1–2 times per quarter to run flight tests and validate real‑world workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of quality engineering experience for hardware, mobile, or autonomous/robotics products.
• Hands‑on testing of mobile apps using Appium, Espresso, or Detox.
• Ability to write code/scripts (Python, TypeScript/JavaScript) to build test automation.
• FAA Part 107 Certificate (or ability to obtain).
• Experience using AI tools for test setup, defect analysis, and log triage.
• Experience managing test suites via Qase and Jira.
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross‑functional alignment.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins) and API testing with embedded firmware/RTK workflows.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily flight testing for regression, acceptance, and validation with ample flight space.
• Define and execute test plans for new software features, identifying edge cases early.
• Coordinate QA programs, schedule testing workflows, and document processes to optimize throughput.
• Enforce bug reporting standards to streamline triage across teams.
• Manage regression testing across Dock, Android, and iOS platforms with end‑to‑end workflows.
• Implement AI‑first testing approaches and automation tooling to accelerate design and maintenance.
• Track quality metrics and post‑release data to reduce deployment risk.
• Maintain device/drone inventory, firmware tracking, and QA environments to prevent disruption.
