Job summary

Avalon Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer III to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products and to drive QA automation across teams. You will work within your scrum team and collaborate to design and execute tests for new features.

This role is eligible for remote work, with quarterly travel to Avalon's corporate office in Tampa, FL. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to test strategy, plans, and data management.

Qualifications

• Four (4) to Eigh t (8) years in a health care or related organization.
• Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline. Equivalent experience acceptable in lieu of a degree(s).
• Excellent understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Expert skillset with automation testing tools and scripting languages.
• Develop and define test strategies, plans, and maintain automation test data.
• Troubleshoot and debug medium-high complexity issues in the software.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively to understand requirements and provide updates to IT Leadership and stakeholders.
• Mentor and grow team members; displays ownership in solutions delivered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and define test strategies, plans, and maintain automation test data.
• Troubleshoot and debug medium-high complexity issues in the software.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively to understand requirements and provide updates to IT Leadership and business stakeholders.
• Mentor and grow team members; demonstrate ownership of solutions delivered.
• Document functionality and defects clearly and precisely.
• Drive high-quality software releases through comprehensive test execution.
