Job summary

SMART TECH SKILLS LLC is hiring a QA Automation Engineer / SDET to develop and maintain automated and manual test strategies across the SDLC. You will work with Playwright, TypeScript, Java, k6, and AI-assisted testing tools, collaborating with development teams to ensure reliability and performance.

You will design robust test plans, execute scripted and exploratory testing, and drive test data management and defect analysis in CI/CD environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software quality engineering, automated and manual testing.
• Hands-on in Playwright, TypeScript, Java, or similar frameworks.
• Strong debugging and test data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Write, execute, and maintain automated and manual test scripts for functional, regression, API, and performance testing.
• Design performance/load tests and model user journeys.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and test management frameworks (Zephyr Scale).
• Translate requirements into detailed test plans and test cases.
• Investigate defects with debugging tools and logs; provide root-cause analysis.
