Job summary

Smart Tech Skills LLC is seeking a QA Automation Engineer / SDET to develop and maintain automated and manual test strategies across the SDLC. You will work with Playwright, TypeScript, Java, k6, and AI-assisted testing tools to ensure software reliability.

You will design performance tests, conduct exploratory testing, and collaborate with development teams to root out defects early in the cycle. Flexible work-from-home options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional software quality engineering with automated and manual testing.
• Experience writing automated tests with Playwright/TypeScript/Java or similar frameworks.
• Experience designing performance/load tests with k6.
• Strong debugging using Google DevTools, logs, stack traces, and network traces.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases and test data management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test strategies across the SDLC.
• Design realistic performance and load tests and model user journeys.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and test management frameworks.
• Translate requirements into detailed test plans and cases.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge-case defects and usability issues.
• Profile/test data across relational and NoSQL databases and assist debugging.
