Job summary

Octave is seeking a Sr. Business Operations & Network Optimization Manager to lead the analytical work behind its provider network and to drive strategic choices for supply, utilization, and growth across markets.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in management consulting, business operations, strategy and operations, analytics, or a comparable field.
• Strong ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets modeling with experience in business cases, forecasting, or performance analysis.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Crisp written and verbal communication, including executive presentations that clarify insights.
• High agency, curiosity, and a willingness to move between strategy and hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

• Assess provider supply relative to client demand across markets, specialties, payer panels, and care modalities.
• Provide data-driven hiring targets and market priorities to Talent Acquisition and Clinical Operations.
• Analyze available slot supply, access gaps, and provider capacity with operational/revenue implications.
• Develop models to project provider capacity needs based on client behavior and market trends.
• Recommend network expansion or contraction and panel participation to improve access and performance.
• Partner with Clinical Operations on initiatives to improve utilization, retention, engagement, and performance.
• Lead provider segmentation and translate insights into differentiated actions.
• Monitor KPIs, investigate root causes, and recommend measurable improvements.
• Identify and advance Product/operational levers for provider discovery and utilization.
• Lead initiatives from analysis through implementation and handoff with clear ownership.
• Build reporting and dashboards on provider supply, demand, utilization, retention, and network performance.
• Prepare executive-ready materials to clarify trends, tradeoffs, and actions.
• Support Product priorities with provider/clinical-operations insights.
• Handle ad hoc analyses for executives and partners.
