Job summary

GAF is seeking a Corporate Project Engineer IV, a senior technical authority handling large-scale capital projects and enforcing engineering standards. This role drives strategic planning, risk management, and execution governance across the plant's capital portfolio.

The ideal candidate will lead high-level decision making, develop robust business cases, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver complex site expansions and technology upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 10+ years of experience in an engineering role.

Responsibilities

• Subject Matter Expert for the plant's capital portfolio.
• Approve major design deviations and provide high-level solutions.
• Lead critical decision-making processes using data analysis and risk assessment.
• Define scope, budget, and adherence to Project Execution Process and standards for projects.
• Develop and present comprehensive business cases for large-scale capital projects.
• Ensure projects have defined scope, schedule and budget before execution.
• Drive high-level continuous improvement across the engineering department.
• Lead cross-functional teams across the project lifecycle for major expansions and upgrades.
• Manage complex stakeholder relationships up to the executive level.
• Balance workloads and identify external engineering resources when needed.
• Mentor and develop the project engineering network with lessons learned.
