Job summary

Finite State seeks a Senior Product Security Consultant – Advisory to lead strategic engagements across automotive, IoT, industrial, and healthcare sectors. You will scope projects, frame regulatory programs, and guide client security leaders from scoping to final deliverables.

You will translate findings into actionable roadmaps, write executive briefs, and mentor teams while leveraging AI tools to accelerate research and drafting. Remote-first culture and global client base offered.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in consulting or advisory work at a professional services firm or similar
• Cybersecurity program experience with understanding of binary analysis, SBOMs, vulnerability management and reachability
• Depth in at least one core area (automotive, IoT, industrial, or healthcare) with applicable regulations
• Strong discipline in running engagements: work breakdowns, milestones, risk tracking, and issue escalation
• Excellent writing and executive presence to brief VP Engineering, General Counsel, and boards
• An AI-native mindset using LLMs and agentic tools with sound judgment

Responsibilities

• Lead advisory engagements end to end: scope work, set milestones, run client meetings, track risks and actions, deliver on time
• Frame regulatory programs for clients facing EU CRA, CE RED, FDA 524B, and FCC Cyber Trust Mark
• Deliver security and regulatory assessments and provide prioritized recommendations
• Serve as the named vCPSO on client accounts and manage product security program cadence
• Design secure development lifecycle programs with policy, governance, and training
• Write deliverables executives can act on: assessments, roadmaps, policies, briefings, evidence packages
• Collaborate with engineering and offensive security teams to translate findings into regulatory and business terms
• Scope bootcamps and support advisory sales through service requests
