Job summary

Finite State seeks a Senior Engineer — Penetration Testing to join our Offensive Security team. You will conduct hands-on hardware and software penetration testing on connected devices, embedded systems, and automotive platforms for clients.

You’ll leverage our firmware analysis platform to prove exploitability on real hardware. You will develop findings, risk ratings, and remediation guidance, collaborating with product and research teams to improve detection capabilities and tooling.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hardware and firmware security testing of embedded devices.
• Experience with ICS/OT and automotive security domains is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute penetration tests against IoT, ICS/OT, and automotive targets.
• Own engagements autonomously from scoping to reporting and debrief.
• Perform hardware interaction and firmware extraction (JTAG, SWD, UART, SPI, I2C, flash).
• Conduct firmware reverse engineering to identify vulnerabilities.
