Job summary

Mersen is seeking a Senior Product Manager for our Newburyport, MA office to lead marketing, product development direction, strategy, and product line maintenance for assigned products to maximize sales and profitability.

Reporting to the Vice President of Global Product Management, the role requires identifying market needs, coordinating projects, pricing strategy development, and ensuring complete product introductions with collateral and inventory.

Qualifications

• College degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or Operations or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years sales and marketing experience.
• Knowledge and experience in Electrical Industry preferred.
• Knowledge or experience in protection and safety of electrical devices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a 5-year Product Line Business plan with regional input.
• Develop, promote, and gain approval of a 1-year product line tactical plan.
• Develop, promote, and gain approval of a 1-year action plan in A3 format.
• Provide pricing strategies and monitor off-book pricing with Quotations Department.
• Establish prices for all new products introduced to the market.
• Identify new product needs from end users, distributors, OEMs, via VOC.
• Contribute to NPDS and product specification used by Engineering.
• Coordinate and monitor progress of product projects; report updates monthly.
• Support the Product Approval Committee with market size, price points, risk analysis.
• Ensure product introductions include collateral, promotion, pricing support, and inventory.
• Track product performance and adjust plan based on market reaction.
