Job summary

The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Senior Producer, Social Media to create video, graphics, editing, and written content for use on all social media channels. The role involves ideation and collaboration with On-Air and Creative Services teams.

You will mentor a team of social media producers, oversee day-to-day operations, and help shape posting strategy. Travel about 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in related field preferred; or equivalent work experience.
• Generally, 5+ years of experience in related field preferred.
• Knowledge of social media networks

Responsibilities

• Create original video and graphic content for all platforms that aligns with the network's brand.
• Monitor broadcasts and identify content for social platforms
• Collaborate with On-Air and Creative Services teams on the development of social-specific content
• Work with social and digital teams to develop and refine workflow and posting strategy
• Capture b-roll, interviews and other content at live sporting events, media days, and on set
• Mentor a team of social media producers
• May oversee some day-to-day operations of the social media producer team, including task delegation, scheduling, and workload management
• Co-ordinate social media content requests from Social Media Managers, ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy and creative objectives
• Stay informed about emerging social media platforms, tools, and trends, exploring opportunities for expansion and experimentation
• Travel approximately 20%
