Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a highly capable software engineer to drive the delivery of high-impact features within Chronosphere's Telemetry Control. You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering to shape telemetry traffic, manage high-cardinality data, and enforce usage budgets across large-scale systems.

Qualifications

• Experience building high-quality, scalable systems in production.
• Fluency in one or more systems languages (Go, C++, Java, C#, Rust).
• Ability to own projects from inception to delivery with operational maturity.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test enhancements to Control APIs and services using Go on Kubernetes/GCP.
• Build scalable telemetry shaping and cost-control systems with ingest policies and sampling.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to deliver customer-facing telemetry cost insights.
• Own instrumentation, alerting, incident response, and performance tuning for production workloads.
• Coordinate across teams to integrate Control decisions into ingestion, query, and storage.
