Job summary

Electric Power Engineers, LLC seeks a Senior Power Systems Engineer to lead generation, interconnection, and load studies across ERCOT. You will guide a team, develop technical analyses, and shape interconnection strategies with minimal supervision.

The role emphasizes PSCAD/PSS/E modeling, client-facing communication, and mentoring engineers, with remote US work and travel as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; master's preferred.
5+ years as a Power Systems Engineer in generation, transmission, or load interconnection.
Strong ERCOT interconnection knowledge from filing to operation.
PSCAD and PSS/E modeling experience focused on generation.
ERCOT MQT experience.
Ability to lead complex analyses and mentor engineers.
Strong client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

Lead load and generation interconnection efforts within ERCOT; act as technical expert.
Identify grid interconnection strategies based on system impacts.
Create and validate PSS/E, PSCAD, and TSAT models for projects.
Perform interconnection studies and due diligence.
Review work of other engineers and provide direction.
Support business development with scope and proposals.
Lead client discussions and present study results.
Mentor and train less experienced engineers.
Manage direct reports and monitor performance KPIs.
Ensure quality, schedule, and budget compliance.
