Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer – Platform Architecture to provide hands-on technical leadership across Wisconsin Medicaid Market.

You will own end-to-end delivery across front-end, back-end, data, integrations, and hosting, while guiding architecture decisions and modernizing legacy systems. The role emphasizes autonomy, mentoring engineers, and adopting cloud-native patterns with a strong focus on CI/CD, infrastructure as code, security as code, and Humana-approved AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing software and/or infrastructure.
• Passion for improving consumer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on design and delivery across Wisconsin Medicaid Market (front-end, back-end, data, integrations, hosting).
• Work across multiple insurance core administration platforms and supporting services.
• Lead technical architecture and design, presenting a clear vision and pragmatic patterns.
• Identify and address technical debt and reliability gaps to improve scalability and operational outcomes.
• Support modernization efforts with emphasis on automation and repeatability.
• Partner with IT leadership, enterprise architects, and platform teams to align with enterprise standards.
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and HIPAA requirements, including security-as-code.
• Mentor engineers through design discussions and code reviews; coach on CI/CD, observability, and AI tooling.
