Job summary

Optomi, in partnership with our premier client in the media industry, seeks a seasoned engineer with deep expertise in cloud-native development, DevOps, and software engineering. This fully remote, 24-month contract role will drive the design and delivery of scalable, high-performance systems and infrastructure.

You will mentor peers, craft robust architectures, and stay aligned with modern cloud practices.

Qualifications

5+ years of software development across multiple domains.
Strong background in distributed systems and data management.
Expert-level coding with focus on performance and efficiency.
Advanced Python for backend and infra development.
Solid DevOps experience: CI/CD, containerization (Docker), testing, automation.
Hands-on AWS services: Networking, IAM, S3, Kinesis, Lambda, SNS.
Familiar with IaC tools: Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
Experience collaborating with engineering, data, and product teams.
Ability to design scalable, reliable, low-latency architectures.
Experience in code reviews and technical mentorship.
