Job summary

Optomi, in partnership with a premier client, is seeking a hands‑on Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in cloud‑native development, DevOps, and software engineering. In this hands‑on technical leadership role, you’ll design and deliver scalable, high‑performance systems and infrastructure.

You’ll work with engineering, data, and product teams to solve complex challenges in distributed systems, data management, and performance at scale.

Qualifications

10+ years of professional software development experience across multiple technical domains.
Advanced, hands-on Python experience building backend services, cloud systems, or infrastructure tooling.
Strong coding fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms, time/space complexity, and maintainable code.
Experience designing, implementing, and operating distributed systems and data management solutions.
Solid DevOps experience, including CI/CD, Docker, automated testing, and deployment automation.
Hands-on experience with AWS services (networking, IAM, S3, Kinesis, Lambda, SNS).
Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
Ability to design and explain scalable, reliable, low-latency architectures.
Experience collaborating across engineering, data, and product teams.
Experience conducting code reviews and mentorship.
