Job summary

The Outreach Team is hiring a Senior Payroll Coordinator for a full-time remote role within the United States. You will lead a small payroll admin team, work with the Payroll Director to meet payroll needs, and drive data accuracy and system improvements across the payroll cycle.

This role emphasizes ADP proficiency, process automation, and a commitment to equity and justice within a fast-paced canvassing environment. Travel is 0–10 days/year; inclusive, people-centered culture is a priority.

Qualifications

• Three years of staff management experience in payroll, campaigns, canvass operations, or field organizing.
• Five years of project management experience in operations and administration.
• Fluency in G Suite, particularly Google Sheets.
• Project management/administrative mindset—organized and deadline-driven.
• Extremely detail-oriented; catches small and large errors.
• ADP experience preferred, but not required.
• Demonstrated experience centering equity and justice in your work.

Responsibilities

• Staff management of a small team of part-time payroll administrators.
• Coordinate with Payroll Director on workload and training; hire/train new admins.
• Develop staff trainings and regular team meetings on payroll-related topics.
• Maintain data quality and timely payroll processing; daily checks.
• Troubleshoot ADP issues and train admins on solutions.
• Act as back-up for payroll and admin forms as needed.
• Establish relationships with project leadership to ensure smooth admin functions.
