Job summary

Nestlé Health Science seeks a Senior Procurement Category Management Specialist - Packaging (Remote) to lead U.S. packaging strategies and manage a $50M–$70M spend.

You will develop category plans, negotiate supplier agreements, and partner with stakeholders to drive cost savings, quality, and supply continuity. The ideal candidate has deep packaging expertise across food/pharmaceutical/nutaceuticals with strong sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Engineering, Food Science, or related field.
• 5+ years knowledge of packaging categories incl. corrugate, folding cartons, labels, flexible packaging, rigid containers, closures.
• Strong experience in packaging materials procurement in relevant industries.
• Broad procurement background across manufacturing/commercial/corporate functions.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements long term Category Strategies and yearly sourcing plan for Nestlé Health Science US (10-15%).
• Drive continuous improvement and productivity with savings tracking in partnership with Finance.
• Execute market research to develop robust Category Strategies and adapt to market conditions.
• Ensure optimal sourcing, supplier selection, pricing, contracting, and commercialization.
• Proactively manage risk and work with supply planning to resolve issues.
• Liaise with commercial teams to align business/brand needs and industry trends.
• Support new products/technology launches with supplier collaboration.
• Lead transformation projects like network optimization and complexity reduction.
• Maintain procurement data in ERP and manage monthly price forecast.
