Job summary

RESPEC is seeking a Senior Database Developer to support a mission-critical statewide education data project. You will architect, optimize, and maintain complex database pipelines across Oracle/JSON data, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and high throughput.

Responsibilities include performance tuning, ETL with JSON, and ensuring quality through unit testing within an Agile environment. Remote-friendly, with a focus on reliability and scalable data architectures.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise database and systems experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• 4+ years of JSON and optimization experience with JSON in Oracle.
• Experience with SQL Server and data modeling.
• End-to-end unit testing, test case design, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Oracle SQL and PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions.
• Architect data-manipulation routines to query, transform, and persist JSON within Oracle tables.
• Collaborate with Java and .NET engineers to diagnose DB issues and ensure data integrity.
• Participate in Agile release planning and ensure schema changes meet standards.
