Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Senior ETL / Data Integration Developer to design, develop, and deliver scalable ETL frameworks within a multi-terabyte Oracle Exadata environment. You will integrate critical encounter and enrollment data from submitters, using PL/SQL, Informatica, Python, and cloud platforms to support healthcare operations and analytics.

The role offers remote work from anywhere in the U.S., with in-office requirements for Minneapolis or DC areas four days a week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on ETL / data integration design, development, and support.
• 5+ years with Oracle databases and PL/SQL, including SQL performance tuning.
• 2+ years scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Shell).
• 2+ years data analysis, profiling, validation, reconciliation.
• 2+ years healthcare data experience (Medicaid, Medicare, etc.).
• Experience supporting large-scale, high-volume data processing or data warehousing environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL workflows, pipelines, and data mappings.
• Apply ETL best practices to avoid hard-coded logic and enable reusable components.
• Build frameworks and automation to improve data pipeline reliability.
• Tune performance and troubleshoot ETL processes across Oracle Exadata environments.
• Develop and execute unit, system, and integration tests for ETL pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure secure data integration standards.
