Job summary

Chemtrade is seeking a Senior Operational Excellence Lead to drive a culture of sustainable change using Lean Six Sigma across this organization. You will coach Green Belts and Black Belts, partner with cross-functional teams, and implement tools to identify and solve operational and manufacturing opportunities.

Based in a home-based role with Canada or US location, you will influence strategic improvements, standardize performance indicators, and mentor future belt candidates while delivering

Qualifications

• Engineering or science degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years demonstrated experience in Change Management, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence with a minimum of 5 years people management experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred.
• Demonstrated success in leading cross functional teams.
• Demonstrated success in driving accountability.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with project managers, procurement, vendors/contractors, and leadership.
• Very high proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, SAP, Microsoft Teams, Power BI, Minitab.
• Travel required: Up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex cross-organization and cross-functional Black Belt Projects through Lean Six Sigma and Project Management.
• Lead, facilitate, and coach Kaizens or other Lean Improvement events.
• Identify potential continuous improvement projects and productivity savings with data analysis and LSS tools.
• Update and drive the Operational Excellence Road Map across businesses.
• Identify and apply best continuous improvement tools and methodologies including Lean Six Sigma.
• Collaborate with business areas to implement and sustain these tools.
• Drive standardization and measurement of performance indicators across departments.
• Foster cultural change toward continuous improvement and waste reduction.
• Mentor future Green Belt and Black Belt candidates.
