Job summary

Red Hat is seeking a senior Cloud Native Platform Architect to design and implement enterprise OpenShift/Kubernetes solutions for customers across private, public, and hybrid clouds, including migrations from legacy VMware setups.

You will build CI/CD pipelines with OpenShift Pipelines, Jenkins, ArgoCD; configure service mesh, observability with Prometheus/Grafana, and develop automation with Ansible and Terraform to enable multi-cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Must have seven (7) years of experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, and container orchestration; Java development with Git/SVN.
• Must have five (5) years with OpenShift service mesh, Istio/Linkerd, traffic mgmt, mTLS, observability; Jenkins, ArgoCD, OpenShift Pipelines.
• Must have three (3) years with Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Golang; Kubernetes HPA, Prometheus metrics, Kafka workloads.
• Must have two (2) years with Android app design/development using Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, Maven.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise container platform solutions on Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes for customers across private, public, and hybrid clouds.
• Deploy, configure, and manage OpenShift clusters for PoC engagements; create YAML manifests, Helm charts, and Operators.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using OpenShift Pipelines, Jenkins, and ArgoCD for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Design container networking with ingress, gateway API, policies; integrate Calico and Envoy for secure connectivity.
• Set up observability/monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger; enable metric-based autoscaling for REST and Kafka apps.
• Develop automation using Ansible, Terraform; streamline provisioning and cluster lifecycle across multi-cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot OpenShift Container Platform; address scheduling, storage, networking, and upgrade issues.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering; translate customer requirements into solution architectures.
