Job summary

Group 1001 is seeking a Sr. Network Reliability Engineer to build a scalable Site Reliability Engineering practice across carrier edge to Kubernetes pod boundary.

You will drive reliability as code, define SLOs, and partner across NOC/SOC, Cyber Security, Cloud, and Data Platforms to eliminate toil. You will implement IaC with Terraform/Ansible, manage multi-cloud networking, and extend policy-based networking with OPA/Rego.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPNs and SD-WAN.
• Terraform (state management, modules) and Ansible in production; Python for automation.
• Experience with Cloudflare, zScaler, and/or enterprise firewalls.
• Monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana for meaningful alerts/dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Define SLOs and error budgets for the network platform and gate changes accordingly.
• Move network state into code with Terraform/Ansible and Python; declarative configurations.
• Express network policy as code and develop per-vendor configuration compilers.
• Build and extend multi-cloud network platform with Terraform, Transit Gateway, IPAM, DNS.
